Mitsubishi Xpander HEV Play launched in Thailand with sporty accessories

KUALA LUMPUR: While Mitsubishi is still considering the Xpander Hybrid for Malaysia, the electrified version of the MPV has just received a special avatar in the Thai market.

Dubbed as the “Mitsubishi Xpander HEV Play,” the latest MPV features distinctive and eye-catching premium accents, targeting new-generation families who embrace young and active lifestyles.

Sporty & premium exterior design

The special edition Mitsubishi is kitted with several exterior enhancements and black accents, making the MPV look more jazzy and attractive. These include -

• Xpander HEV Play - Black roof with shark fin antenna, Black front bumper and side set, Black alloy wheels, Smoked clear LED rear lights, Black rear bumper set, and Black door mirror with LED side turn signal 
• Xpander Cross HEV Play - Black roof with roof rails, Body-coloured front grille with a black bumper, Black alloy wheels, Smoked clear LED rear lights, Black cross design door garnish and wheel arch moulding, and Black door mirror with LED side turn signal

• Xpander HEV Play - White Diamond (black roof), Graphite Gray (black roof)
• Xpander Cross HEV Play - White Diamond (black roof), Graphite Gray (black roof), Green Bronze (black roof)

Mitsubishi Xpander HEV Play price

Both the Xpander HEV Play and Xpander Cross HEV Play are priced at THB 981,000 (approx RM 128,300), which is THB 48,000 (RM 6,300) higher than the standard Xpander HEV and THB 20,000 (RM 2,600) higher than the Xpander Cross HEV.

 Closer to home, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia introduced a new accessory lineup for the Xpander at the 2024 KLIMS event. It includes a Chrome exhaust finisher, fuel lid cover, tailgate spoiler, body kit, wireless charging pad, and a boot tray.
