New GLC 300 4Matic AMG Line variant arrives; price starts from RM 3,99,888

KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz has added a new 300 4Matic AMG Line model in its GLC Coupe line-up in Malaysia. It was launched along with the all-new GLE 450 at the brand’s ‘Hungry for Adventure Festival’, which is currently happening at Sentul Depot in Kuala Lumpur. The automaker slot the GLC 300 4Matic AMG Line variant under the GLC 43 4Matic by replacing the outgoing GLC 250 4Matic AMG Line model.

The new GLC 300 gets the AMG Line exterior kit having the single-louvre diamond radiator grille at the front along with rugged aprons and a night package on both the ends. The car features LED Intelligent Light System headlamps accompanied by Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus. The car rides on the multi-spoke light-alloy wheels of 20-inch and there is also a rear spoiler and aluminium-look running boards.

Stepping inside the cabin, the car features AMG sports pedals, a panoramic sunroof, Artico leather upholstery, a Burmester sound system, etc. There are also powered seats having a memory function and lumbar support for front passengers. The driver to grip a flat-bottom AMG sports steering wheel.

The GLC 300 4Matic AMG Line is powered by a 2.0-litre, M274, turbocharged, four-cylinder petrol mill. It belts out a maximum power of 245 PS along with a peak torque of 370 Nm. It is paired with a nine-speed 9G-Tronic automatic gearbox. A 4Matic all-wheel drive system supports the mill.

The engine can speed up to 0 to 100 kilometres in just 6.5 seconds, and the top speed is 236 kmph. The car features the Dynamic Select system that helps to switch between five driving modes such as Comfort, Eco, Individual, Sport, and Sport+.

The GLC 300 is equipped with Lane Tracking Package that consists of Active Lane Keeping Assist and Blind Spot Assist. Also, there are other features such as Attention Assist and Collision Prevention Assist Plus.

The GLC 300 4Matic Coupe is a CKD model (locally-assembled), which comes with a price tag of RM 3,99,888 without insurance. It comes with Agility Financing like the other models of Mercedes-Benz. The buyer has to pay 25% downpayment and also sign a three-year tenure while buying the car. For GLC 300, the monthly instalment is RM 3,998. It includes two free complete service packages, while the offer’s validity is up to April 30.
