Peugeot 3008 SUV gets an update in Malaysia; price slashed

KUALA LUMPUR: Stellantis Malaysia has rolled out the upgraded Peugeot 3008 in the country. Notably, this is not the third-generation 3008 that was globally revealed in 2023, but a refreshed version of the existing second-gen model. 

Let’s dive in to know what all changes the 2026 Peugeot 3008 brings to the table.

2026 Peugeot 3008: What’s new?

New branding and cosmetic enhancements 

The upgraded SUV benefits from Peugeot's corporate identity with the front grille housing the new Peugeot shield logo, replacing the older lion emblem. At the rear, the Peugeot wordmark and 3008 badge now feature a sharper and more angular font that aligns with the automaker’s updated design language. 

Inside the cabin, the new Peugeot crest is visible on the digital instrument cluster and the steering wheel airbag cover.

The new Peugeot 3008 also comes equipped with a fresh pair of 18-inch Granite Black alloy wheels, borrowed from the Peugeot 408, adding to the SUV’s contemporary and premium look.

2026 Peugeot 3008: What remains the same?

The core design and exterior features of the SUV remain the same as earlier, including the same LED headlights with signature “claw” DRLs and “Triple claw” LED tail lights. The cabin architecture and interior features also remain largely unchanged. Key highlights include -

Under the hood lies the same 1.6-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged engine tuned to make 165 PS of maximum power at 6,000 rpm and 240 Nm of peak torque at 1,400 rpm. Power is sent to the front wheels through a six-speed automatic gearbox. 

2026 Peugeot 3008: price

Stellantis Malaysia offers the new Peugeot 3008 in a single Allure variant, priced at RM 138,000 (on the road, without insurance), which is almost RM 32k less than the outgoing model, making the French SUV more affordable for Malaysians. Although it is noted that only limited stock is available at this price point, this suggests the next-gen model's arrival in the near future. 

The locally-assembled Peugeot 3008 is offered with a seven-year/200,000 km (three years factory, four years extended) warranty.
