Proton e.MAS hits 40,000 deliveries, marks milestone with 40% off charging and new owner perks

KUALA LUMPUR: Proton e.MAS has now delivered 40,000 vehicles in Malaysia, reaching the milestone around 20 months after the brand was launched.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • How many Proton e.MAS vehicles have been delivered?

Proton e.MAS has delivered 40,000 vehicles in Malaysia, reaching the milestone around 20 months after the brand was launched.
  • When is the 40% charging discount available?

The 40% charging discount runs from 11am on October 1 until 11am on October 5, 2026.
  • Rather than marking the occasion with another special-edition car, PRO-NET is using it to roll out a fairly long list of benefits for existing and future Proton e.MAS owners, covering charging, servicing, trade-ins, insurance and rewards.

The most immediate one is a 40% discount on charging fees, available through the Proton e.MAS app from 11am on October 1 until 11am on October 5, 2026.

There is no registration or voucher involved. Owners just need to initiate their charging session through the Proton e.MAS app and the discounted rate will be applied.

Proton e.MAS charging gets cheaper beyond the four-day promo

The 40% discount only runs for four days, but Proton e.MAS is introducing several longer-running charging benefits as well.

The e.MAS app currently provides access to 12 Charge Point Operators, while participating DC Handal chargers will offer preferential charging rates of up to RM1.20/kWh.

From October 5 until December 31, 2026, e.MAS users will also receive 20% off at RExharge charging points when charging through the Proton e.MAS app.

PRO-NET says charging prices offered through its app are aligned with the rates offered through participating CPOs' own apps, which means owners should not need to jump between several different charging apps just to get the same tariff.

The presentation also highlighted ChargeSini, with special rates at selected apartment and condominium charging locations.

10% off Proton e.MAS servicing in October

Charging is only part of the campaign.

From October 1 to 31, Proton e.MAS customers will receive 10% off service and maintenance, while the first 1,000 service customers will get a special-edition Proton e.MAS 5 Touch 'n Go card on a first-come, first-served basis.

PRO-NET says its current nationwide service network has 98.8% parts availability, while it is also working with MARA on the training of certified EV technicians.

The company currently has 60 Proton e.MAS dealers nationwide and more than 1,600 trained sales and aftersales personnel. It is targeting 70 outlets by the end of 2026, including 57 service centres and 14 Body & Paint centres.

Up to RM1,000 extra trade-in rebate through Carsome

There are some ownership incentives outside servicing too.

Eligible customers trading in their existing vehicle through Carsome can receive up to RM1,000 in additional trade-in rebates between October 1 and December 31, 2026.

Customers who purchase or renew an eligible e.MAS Care Elite or e.MAS Care Flex insurance policy through selected panels will meanwhile receive RM100 in complimentary charging credit.

That offer is limited to the first 5,000 eligible registrations nationwide, with registration running between October 1 and December 31.

Eligible insurance customers will also be entered into a lucky draw offering prizes including a Huawei Watch GT 7 and Huawei Band 11.

    PassGo rewards you for driving

Another interesting addition is PassGo, Proton e.MAS' new drive-to-earn rewards programme within the e.MAS app.

Owners who link their vehicle will receive 300 welcome points, and can then earn one point for every eligible kilometre driven, subject to the programme's terms and conditions.

The points can be redeemed for rewards including Grab, Touch 'n Go, foodpanda and Lazada vouchers, as well as Proton e.MAS merchandise.

PRO-NET says a refreshed version of the Proton e.MAS app, developed together with ACOTech, is planned for introduction by the end of 2026.

RM5,000 Huawei solar rebate, 10% off ZUS Coffee

Some of the new perks extend beyond the car itself.

Eligible Proton e.MAS owners can receive 10% off beverages at participating ZUS Coffee outlets.

Those installing eligible Huawei FusionSolar residential solar systems can also receive an RM5,000 instant rebate, together with a chance to win a five-day, four-night trip to Shenzhen, China, including a visit to Huawei's campus.

'Where Does Your e.MAS Take You?' owner contest

PRO-NET is also running a "Where Does Your e.MAS Take You?" contest for owners.

Participants can share a photo or video of their Proton e.MAS together with a story about their journey in the Proton e.MAS Official Community Facebook Group.

The grand prize is a limited-edition Proton e.MAS 7 diecast model, while another 40 winners will receive RM50 Touch 'n Go eWallet credit.

    40,000 deliveries in 20 months

Perhaps the more important number behind all these promotions is the milestone itself.

Proton e.MAS says it reached 40,000 vehicle deliveries within 20 months of the brand's launch, covering buyers ranging from first-time EV owners to families and people adding an EV to their daily commute.

    PRO-NET CEO Zhang Qiang said:

“Reaching 40,000 Proton e.MAS vehicles is an important milestone because every vehicle represents a customer who has chosen to be part of our journey. As our community continues to grow, so does our responsibility to make EV ownership easier, more convenient and more rewarding. This milestone is therefore an opportunity for us to give back to our owners and strengthen our Customer Promise by delivering more care, more confidence, greater connectivity and better charging value throughout their ownership journey.”

For Proton e.MAS owners, the 40% charging discount is probably the perk worth noting first because it only lasts from October 1 to 5. The servicing, RExharge, trade-in and insurance offers run for longer, with several continuing until the end of December.
