Zeekr opens first showroom in Malaysia; set to launch 7X SUV in Q3 2025

KUALA LUMPUR: Zeekr entered the Malaysian market late last year with the launch of two electric cars - 009 and X. Well, Geely’s premium sub-brand has now opened the doors of its first showroom in the country, located at Petaling Jaya.

Zeekr Space Petaling Jaya: Key highlights 

• Nestled in the heart of PJ, Zeekr Space Petaling Jaya is a sophisticated space curated to redefine your electric mobility experience.
• Operated by Sentinel Automotive, it is a 1S centre that spans across 660 sq metres.
• The facility incorporates a display area showcasing the brand’s latest EVs, a comfortable lounge area, and a delivery bay.

Zeekr cars in Malaysia

As mentioned earlier, Zeekr currently offers two electric cars - 009 and X in Malaysia. 

Zeekr 009

The Zeekr 009 is a premium MPV available in 6- and 7-seater configurations with prices ranging from RM 349,800 to RM 359,800. It is powered by a dual-motor setup, generating 612 PS of maximum power and 693 Nm of peak torque. The motors are fed by a 116 kWh NMC battery pack, which offers a cruising range of 582 km.

Zeekr X

The Zeekr X, on the other hand, is a compact electric SUV, which comes in two variants - Premium and Flagship, priced at RM 155,800 and RM 172,800, respectively. 

The Premium RWD trim is powered by a 272 PS/343 Nm electric motor, while the Flagship comes with an AWD setup offering 428 PS of power and 543 Nm of torque. Both are powered by the same 66 kWh NMC battery unit, which provides 440 km with the RWD and 420 km with the AWD variant.

Zeekr 7X

The next Zeekr EV bound to launch in Malaysia is the 7X. It is an electric SUV that rivals the Tesla Model Y and BYD Sealion 7. The China-spec Zeekr 7X comes with a 75-kWh LFP ‘Golden Brick’ or 100-kWh NMC ‘Qilin’ battery, offering a range of up to 780 km (on the CLTC cycle).
