2019 Thailand Motor Expo: Nissan GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition featured

KUALA LUMPUR: Nissan Thailand has taken the wraps off the GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition at the ongoing 2019 Thai Motor Expo, which will be held until December 10th, 2019. After revealing the GT-R Anniversary Edition at the 2019 New York International Auto Show, the brand has brought the car to the Thai market to celebrate the milestone.

The Nissan GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition comes with three dual-tone color options - Super Silver with white stripes, Pearl White with red stripes, and Bayside (Wangan) Blue as used in the
R34 model. The later uses a four-coat, double-heat treatment process, ensuring a vivid blue shade with deep shadows and striking highlights. There are white racing stripes too to complement the blue color tone.

The car rides on 20-inch wheels that have blue accents on the spokes. Furthermore, at the back, the “50th Anniversary” wording is done via a white decal. It is further coupled with a special “50th Anniversary” metal emblem that is placed just below the famous GT-R mark.

Inside, the Nissan GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition is provided with a grey colour scheme. Other features include a unique steering wheel, shift knob trim, an Alcantara headliner having unique stitching, special embossed seats, a dedicated plaque placed on the centre console, and Alcantara-wrapped sun visors.

Despite getting some modifications in the design, the mechanical department remains unchanged. The Nissan GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition is equipped with the same 3.8-litre turbocharged V6 engine,

which is capable of churning out a maximum power of 565 hp along with a peak torque of 633 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. It further gets electronically controlled suspension and all-wheel drive.
