2019 Toyota Corolla - All you need to know

Bringing a fresh face in the sedan segment in the country, Toyota Malaysia launched the new 2019 Corolla last month at a starting price of RM 128,888. It took Toyota nearly a year after the new Corolla’s global launch at Guangzhou Motor Show, China in 2018. Since it is now available, here is all you need to know about it.

2019 Toyota Corolla exterior-

Toyota completely revamped the exterior of the new Corolla to make it more modern and updated. With all the new added features, it certainly looks so much better than its predecessor.

• The front gets a set of very stylish Bi-LED projector headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights.
• The top grille is very minimalistic with only a single chrome line running across.
• The bottom radiator grille is large and has been blacked-out for a sportier stance.
• Sporting a set of 17-in very attractive alloy wheels, the new Corolla has a fantastic side view.
• Also, it has a seamless roofline that neatly merges into the tailgate.
• And finally, it is the rear which is as stylish as the front thanks to the new set of wraparound LED taillights.

What are the 2019 Toyota Corolla colour options?

Toyota has made available a total of 5 different colour options for the new Corolla. These are Silver Metallic, Pearl White, Red Mica, Attitude Black Mica and Celestite Gray Metallic. Our favourite is the silver metallic.

Powering the new 2019 Corolla is a big 1.8-litre 4-cylinder engine that churns out 139 PS of max power and 172 Nm of peak torque. It is the same engine in both the variants and comes with a 7-speed Sequential Shiftmatic CVT. You also get paddle shifters in the 1.8G variant.
