2020 Mercedes-AMG GT went on sale in Germany
KUALA LUMPUR: With its amazingly gorgeous looks and roaring V8 soundtracks, the high-performance GT range from Mercedes-AMG lineup has captured the attention of motorheads around the world. Initially launched in 2015, AMG GT heralded a new age for the German automaker and placed it amongst the other supercar makers, including Porsche and Ferrari.
The automaker updated the interior and exterior of the GT model for 2020. And if it falls in your bucket-list, you would be glad to know that it is now available for purchase in Germany.
Mercedes Benz honed AMG GT to make it more agile, strengthening its position as the "perfect automotive companion to suit any requirement.” Powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, the high-end sports car produces 476 PS of maximum power and pulls out 630 Nm of torque. The AMG GT now boasts of a top speed of 304 kmph, while the acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph clocks in 4.0 seconds.
On the exterior, the 2020 Mercedes AMG GT poses a sporty character with AMG-specific radiator grille and wide bonnet. Because of new side skirts, the body contours look stronger and more solid. The new LED-performance headlights and taillights now add a more striking appeal to the design. The other subtle changes lend a more aggressive stance that looks spectacular.
The interior of the new AMG GT is impressively plush for a car that has track racing aspirations. For 2020, the GT gets a user interface concept with fully digital instruments and a 10.2-inch display with standard Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration. The center console has been restyled with capacitive display buttons, and the new steering wheel outfitted in Nappa leather, houses AMG Drive Unit controls,
Mercedes has designed the AMG GT to keep its occupants safe. Thus safety features list includes front and rear cameras, automatic high-beams, parking sensors, Mercedes-Benz's Pre-Safe collision-avoidance system, blind-spot assist, and lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
Mercedes-AMG GT shines brightly, and its latest updates make it optimally fit for those who live a sporty lifestyle. In Malaysia, it is priced at RM 1.56 million.
