2022 Mazda3 Ignite Edition: Worth the premium?

Mazda has already introduced the Ignite Edition of the popular SUVs - CX-9 and CX-30 in Malaysia that spiced up the regular packs with added styling tweaks. This time the Japanese automaker gave a similar striking stance to the Mazda 3 Liftback to make the competition scene hotter. However, the added tweaks come at a price; yes, the 2022 Mazda3 Ignite Edition is RM 9,000 dearer than the 2.0L Hatchback High Plus trim on which it is based.

Things remain the same on the mechanical front with the 2.0-litre four-cylinder SkyActiv-G mill that kicks out a maximum power output of 162 hp and a peak torque of 213 Nm. The power is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
