2022 Perodua Alza new teasers out; launch soon

KUALA LUMPUR: While we are waiting for the all-new Alza launch with bated breath, Perodua continues to tease the revamped MPV on its social media handles. These teaser clips gave us a pretty good idea of how the upgraded vehicle addresses the needs of occupants and ensures a peaceful drive. Let’s have a look at some recent shots.

The automaker previews the low ride height stance of the MPV that offers a more convenient ingress and egress for all ages. Thus, ensures a more practical comfort.

Another teaser clip gives us a sneak peek of a more spacious and comfortable interior that is designed to deliver a more enjoyable experience for both driver and passengers. Perodua highlighted the rear air-conditioning vents of the new Alza with blowers positioned on the ceiling. While these are controlled manually, we are glad that these are standard across the range and help keep the rear passengers cool.

We also get a snippet of the practical benefits of the Alza’s new 360-degree panoramic view monitor. The automaker shows how this system will help the driver navigate narrow parking lots, narrower streets, and narrowest parking ramp slopes.

Lastly, we bring a quick recap for you. The bookings of the 2022 Perodua Alza are currently underway at all authorised Perodua dealerships nationwide. It is on offer in three variants - X, H, and AV, which are tentatively priced between RM 62k and RM 75k. All the versions are equipped with the same 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i engine mated to a D-CVT automatic gearbox. 

Among the advanced features you get with the new Alza is a Drive mode button mounted on the car's steering wheel, electronic parking brake with an auto brake hold, 360-degree panoramic view monitor, and Perodua Smart Drive Assist pack. The latter includes pre-collision warning, pre-collision assist brake, front departure alert, mis-pedal operational control, lane departure warning, lane keep control, lane departure prevention, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitor, and rear cross traffic alert.
