2025 Proton X70 facelift breaks cover; bookings now open

KUALA LUMPUR: After several spy shots and much anticipation, here comes the first official images of the all-new 2025 Proton X70 facelift. Yes, that's right! Proton has revealed the upgraded version of its first SUV, featuring a number of updates designed to enhance both its style and performance.

So, what does the new Proton X70 bring to the table?

Starting with the exterior, the new X70 boasts a bolder five-point grille featuring Proton’s Infinite Weave design, slimmer full-LED reflector headlights, a redesigned front bumper, and new 19-inch alloy wheels.

The interior has been refreshed with luxurious Nappa leather seats in a stone grey colour, providing a sophisticated and comfortable driving environment. Further adding to the premium feel is the multicolour rhythmic ambient lighting.

A standout feature of the revamped Proton X70 is the new 12.3-inch infotainment unit, which finally comes equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The automaker has upgraded the Proton Link app with the capability to start the engine remotely, allowing users to cool down the vehicle before entry.

After nearly six years of leading in ADAS for premium C-segment SUVs, the new Proton X70 is packed with an upgraded ADAS Level 2 system. This update promises improved safety and convenience for drivers, claims Proton.

As for the full details on the all-new 2025 Proton X70, we need to wait for its official launch which is expected to happen later this year.

2025 Proton X70 bookings open 

Proton has started accepting bookings for the highly anticipated 2025 Proton X70; interested folks can reserve one in their name by paying a deposit of RM 500. 

While no pricing information is yet available, the automaker assures that the upgraded X70 will be offered at an amazing price with a lucrative early bird package, just like the 2024 Proton X50.
