GEN-O Malaysia community launched for Omoda owners; Omoda C7 previewed
KUALA LUMPUR: Omoda | Jaecoo has launched the GEN-O Malaysia club, a lifestyle community designed to connect existing and future owners and strengthen the spirit of belonging within the Omoda family. At the event, the brand also previewed the all-new Omoda C7, offering more than 250 guests an exclusive first look at the upcoming SUV.

Photo from Omoda | JaecooAs mentioned above, the automaker previewed the upcoming Omoda C7 during the club launching event. Earlier showcased at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025, the C7 is a C-segment SUV that is positioned between the Omoda 5 and the Omoda C9 in the brand’s global lineup.
The SUV features a bold and futuristic design, highlighted by a shark-nose front profile housing a body-coloured parametric grille with illuminating hexagonal patterns on the corners. The rear design looks equally striking with “Electric energy design” tail lights with a series of connecting arrows.
While local engine specs are not yet confirmed, the Omoda C7 comes in both pure ICE and plug-in hybrid drivetrains globally.
- The PHEV comprises a 1.5-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor (generating a combined output of 347 PS and 525 Nm) and an 18.3 kWh Blade lithium iron phosphate battery pack that offers an all-electric range of 95 km.
- The ICE model runs on a 1.6-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol mill delivering 197 PS and 290 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
