Honda City Hatchback to launch tomorrow in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Get ready guys to welcome a brand new car. Honda Malaysia has posted a reminder update of its latest launch, i.e., City Hatchback which is scheduled to land on our shores tomorrow, December 7 2021.

The said update by Honda was posted earlier today and consisted of a small clip of the City Hatchback along with the text '1 day to go".

Honda Malaysia has been teasing us with the City Hatchback images since October. And over time has revealed some noteworthy details about the vehicle.

Like the ongoing City sedan, the hatchback will be offered in two variants - RS in e:HEV hybrid flavour and regular version powered by the new 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC mill.

When the automaker opened the ordering books for the City Hatch, it dropped some more key information like both variants will benefit from LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, LED tail lights, and 16-inch wheels.

Not to forget, the City Hatchback will come equipped with a first-in-segment Remote Engine Start feature that enables the driver to start the ignition and air-con system before entering the cabin.

The cabin will come equipped with Honda's much popular 4-Modes ULTRA seats. Thus, making it the only hatchback in the segment to have rear seats smartly-hinged to be flipped up (Tall mode), fully-folded flat (Long mode), or flat-folded front seat (Refresh mode).

In November, Honda Malaysia organised a media drive event wherein it demonstrated the effectiveness of the Honda Sensing and Honda LaneWatch system.

What else? The City Hatch will feature a more rigid body, improved suspension, stiffer engine mounts and is lighter as well compared to the previous-gen model.

The rest of the new City Hatchback specs and feature details will be revealed tomorrow when the car will be officially launched in the local market.
