Honda Civic hatchback unveiled at Geneva Motor Show 2016

Kuala Lumpur: The ongoing Geneva Motor Show 2016 looks like adding spices to the automotive market with all-new launches and introduction of technologies by manufacturers from all across the globe. When all the other carmakers are flaunting their new cars how can we miss to check out what the Japanese giant Honda is gearing up for. The company has showcased its all-new Honda Civic hatchback at the stage of Geneva Motor Show 2016 with a much sportier and appealing cover. The new Civic hatchback, unveiled at the auto event, is the prototype version and the production model would arrive probably by early 2017. This global car would be constructed at the Honda's Swindon manufacturing unit and marketed around the world.    

With the addition of this hatch, Honda has extended the Civic fleet with coupe, sedan, Si and Type-R drives. The latest generation Honda Civic prototype shares the same traits as of recently arrived Honda Civic 2016 but with a sportier kit and more compact styling. To keep the interest of the customers alive in this hatch, the chief designer for Honda – Daisuke Tsutamori, has given a longer, lower and wider structure with more stability and wider wheels. Needless to say that the cabin has also been graced with advanced technology and ample space.

Technically, the hatch version is also as 'sound' as the other variants. The new Honda drive would arrive with an option in this segment offering 1.0-litre i-VTEC turbo petrol engine or a bigger version of this power plant with a capacity of 1.5-litre. A hint of 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel unit is also in the air. With all these features under one label 'Honda Civic hatchback', the company has also ensured that there are ample safety aspects.

Honda is committed to delivering cutting edge technology along with sumptuousness under its label which it is managing very well. The finest of recent examples are the Honda Accord staged at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. Also, the latest version of Honda HR-V bagged the prestigious Green Car of the Year Award recently.
