New iCaur outlet opens in Petaling Jaya; first EV launching soon

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian automotive market is set to welcome another Chinese EV brand called iCaur (known as iCar in China). Born from a partnership between Chery and Smartmi Tech, iCaur opened its first global dealership in Glenmarie earlier this month, and today it has inaugurated its second centre in Petaling Jaya.

iCaur made its first official appearance at MAS 2025 with the preview of its upcoming models - iCaur 03 and iCaur V23. Bookings for the iCAUR 03 are currently underway in Malaysia, with the launch set to happen on September 9. 

New iCaur Petaling Jaya showroom - Key highlights

• The second outlet of iCaur Malaysia is operated by Karrus Automotive Group and is located near the University Malaya Hospital. 
• Spans over 18,000 sq ft, the new outlet comprises four floors, each serving a specific purpose.
• The ground floor displays the brand’s upcoming range of vehicles, while at the mezzanine level lie a “Chill-out zone” with a gaming area for guest entertainment.
• On the second floor, the outlet has a dedicated customisation space where buyers can personalise their iCaur vehicles.
• The after-sales service centre is located in the basement and features three service bays and one modification bay.
• Notably, the customisation area and service centre are currently in development and will be operational very soon.
