Nissan Sylphy S Touring Edition showcased in Japan

Kuala Lumpur: World acclaimed Japanese carmaker have opened its arsenal unveiling its another creation, a much sportier version of Sylphy sedan. The all new addition to the companies hierarchy will moniker as Nissan Sylphy S Touring Special Edition. It is highly tweaked on the exteriors enhancing the visuals of earlier Sylphy S.

The car gets an all new mutated bumper which is more aerodynamic and aggressive looking than the earlier standard item. Also, the front fascia of the car is highly improved with additions of a glossy black grille. Overall distinguishable changes are the matching side skirts, rear body kit extension and a boot lid spoiler. Sylphy S touring will be anchored on the all new 16-inch aluminium wheels.

So many changes have been observed on the exteriors, however, there are not any indications regarding the engine tweaks. So, Sylphy S Touring will still be animated to life by its 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine whisking out a decent 129 hp at 6,000 rpm and 174 Nm at 3,600 rpm. This torque is equally distributed towards the front wheels through a Xtronic CVT transmission just like the Sylphy which is available in Malaysia.

Well, so much going on at the Nissan headquarters, but the Sporty Sylphy is not the only revelation made by the company as Australia is getting the hot hatch Pulsar SSS which is blessed with an 188 hp/240 Nm 1.6 litre DIG-T turbocharged engine. Pulsar SSS is available with a six-speed manual gearbox too. Apart from this, Sylphy is also been tweaked by the Impul package, which is available in Malaysia with a refined body kit, lowered springs and bigger wheels.
