Strong sales and record bookings
As of 31 July 2025, Proton has delivered 4,959 units of the e.MAS 7. Out of that total, 4,689 went to Malaysian customers while 270 were exported overseas.
July alone saw 1,365 new bookings – the highest monthly intake since the EV was launched – showing that demand for Proton’s first electric SUV remains strong well into its debut year.
Commenting on the model’s success, PRO-NET CEO Zhang Qiang said: “From day one, our goal has been to offer Malaysians an EV that delivers exceptional comfort, balanced performance, and advanced features at a fair price. The sustained demand we are seeing today is the result of that commitment. We are deeply grateful to our customers for placing their trust in Proton and the e.MAS brand, and for making the e.MAS 7 their number one choice.”
Who’s buying the e.MAS 7 and which variant?
The SUV has attracted a broad customer base, with the Premium variant making up the majority of deliveries at 86%, while the Prime variant accounts for 14%.
Buyers have consistently highlighted value for money, spaciousness, safety features, ride comfort, handling, and onboard technology as the main reasons for choosing the e.MAS 7.
In terms of styling, Platinum Silver is the most popular colour at 25% of orders. To meet growing demand for personalisation, Proton has added Obsidian Black as a permanent choice, while limited units of Turquoise Green and Quartz Rose paired with an Alabaster White interior are also available.
Charging patterns and network coverage
Research by PRO-NET found that most Malaysians drive between 21 km and 40 km per day, meaning e.MAS 7 owners typically only need to charge their vehicle once a week.
Charging access is further supported by the Live Integrated Charging Network, which now offers more than 3,400 charging points nationwide. Over 1,100 of these are located in 930 high-rise residential buildings, covering more than 90% of Malaysia.
Backing this up is Proton’s aftersales support, with 29 service centres, 10 body and paint outlets, and 35 dealerships dedicated to the e.MAS range.
Trade-In bonus for new owners
To encourage more Malaysians to switch to EVs, PRO-NET is running the Power Exchange programme. Through this initiative, customers trading in any vehicle – regardless of brand or age – will receive an additional RM5,000 bonus on top of the trade-in value, subject to inspection and approval.
