Proton e.MAS records 26,492 cumulative sales; remains No.1 EV brand in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians are embracing electric mobility at a fast pace, and the growing number of Proton e.MAS vehicles on the roads is proof of this. Pro-Net, the official distributor of Proton e.MAS cars has released the sales report for June 2026, revealing that the brand delivered a total of 3,026 units during the month, taking year-to-date registrations to 17,604 units. 

Notably, Proton e.MAS surpassed the 20,000-unit milestone earlier this year and has now reached a cumulative sales of 26,492 units since its launch in 2025.

"The Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV has exceeded our expectations and demonstrates that Malaysians are embracing practical electrification solutions that fit their daily lifestyles. Surpassing 11,000 bookings within just a few months of its launch, together with more than 4,000 registrations year-to-date, reflects the growing confidence in the Proton e.MAS brand and our commitment to offering innovative mobility solutions for every stage of the electrification journey," said Mr. Zhang Qiang, Chief Executive Officer of PRO-NET.

Proton expanded the e.MAS 7 lineup last month, with the launch of the Premium Plus variant at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS 2026). The latest model features a larger battery pack with increased DC fast charging capability. It also comes with comfort and refinement features like dual front massage seats and an integrated passenger leg rest for a more premium long-distance travel experience.

To encourage EV adoption, Proton currently offers all e.MAS 7 variants with a limited-time Special Launch Rebate of RM 7,000,
