Toyota Yaris spotted at Petaling Jaya dealership; to be showcased at Malaysia Autoshow 2019

KUALA LUMPUR: One of the variants of 2019 Yaris has been spotted inside a Toyota showroom at Section 19, Petaling Jaya in Malaysia. This incident is enough to indicate its imminent debut in the market. And it looks like the carmaker has already started distributing the models to the dealers. Also, as per Toyota official social media handle the car would be displayed at the Malaysia Autoshow 2019.

In the aforementioned Toyota showroom, the top-spec G variant of 2019 Yaris is on display, which is expected to be the flagship model among the three offered versions. The other variants are E and J. The showcased car gets the Citrus Mica Metallic paint job. Along with this, four other exterior colors are also available including Super White, Red Mica Metallic, Attitude Black, and Silver Metallic.

The 2019 Toyota Yaris G comes with LED taillights along with the two-tone alloy wheels of 16-inch. There is an optional aero kit that costs RM 2,800. The kit consists of a roof spoiler, side skirts, and bumper spoilers on both front and rear. The aero kit also has a cheaper version, which has a price tag of RM 2,450, but this version does not include the roof spoiler.

Inside, the dash gets a Vios-like design. A DVD-AVX infotainment system along with a 360-degree camera system is featured. Moreover, the car gets an Optitron instrument cluster having a 4.3-inch multi-info display. The other equipment includes fabric seats, single-zone automatic climate control, a multifunction steering wheel, and a rear USB charging ports.

The 2019 Yaris is equipped with a 2NR-FE 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i mill, which again resembles with Vios. It can make a maximum power of 107 PS along with a peak torque of 140 Nm. There is a CVT with seven virtual ratios that transmits the power to the wheels.

The car is packed with a host of safety features, and again these can be found in Vios. The feature includes blind spot monitoring having rear cross traffic alert, seven airbags, and hill-start assist.

The price of the 2019 Toyota Yaris is not revealed yet, though the estimated pricing has been provided. 2019 Toyota Yaris price for G trim is RM 84,888, E will sell for RM 77,888 and J has RM 71,888 of a price tag.
