Upcoming 2022 Honda Civic variants and colour info leaked

KUALA LUMPUR: The next-gen Honda Civic is scheduled to arrive soon, as model year 2022. Images of the new model have also surfaced in China, thus further assuring its prompt introduction. The official debut of the sedan is expected to take place in the upcoming months and with it, we will get to know several details about the car. However, if you are a car enthusiast or a Civic fan who can’t wait to know more about the new model here’s a little sneak peek. CivicXi.com forums have posted a list of new Civic’s model trims and exterior colour palette.

The authenticity of the information posted by TigerEyeJazz can’t be confirmed, so it can be taken either way - assumption or reality. The colour options listed in the post have nothing outstanding, as most of the hues are offered in current-gen Civic. The list includes - Sonic Grey, Aegean Blue, Crystal Black Pearl, Rallye Red, Lunar Silver, and Platinum White Pearl.

Talking about the 2021 Honda Civic trim levels, the forums tell there will be four options. First, the entry-level LX trim, followed by the Sport, EX, and lastly the range-topping Touring variant. If the information stands true, the EX-L trim sitting between the EX and Touring versions is cut out from the range. Also, there is no sign of the Sport Touring trim as well, this one serves as the top variant in the Civic Hatchback lineup. So, this information does not differentiate between the sedan and hatch Civic. The coupe body-type is not coming back this time as well.

Coming to the images doing rounds in China, the all-new 2022 Civic will come along with a boost of changes. It showcases certain design clues that seemed to be taken from the Accord.
