Zeekr 9X Grand hybrid SUV teased; debut later this year

KUALA LUMPUR: Geely-owned Zeekr is set to introduce an all-new “ultra-luxury flagship SUV” in the Chinese market, called the 9X Grand. As reported by CarNewsChina, this latest Zeekr model will hit the Chinese roads in the third quarter of 2025.

The automaker has released a short video of the 9X Grand, showcasing the heavy camouflaged SUV undergoing winter testing on a snowy track. 

Zeekr 9X Grand: What to expect

Exterior

The Zeekr 9X Grand has a bold and massive appearance with a body length of over 5.2 meters. It features a flat roofline, sturdy proportions, and D-slanted pillars, which reminds us of the Land Rover Range Rover. 

While the SUV is wrapped in heavy camouflage, we can figure out a few design highlights -  

• A striking front grille similar to the Zeekr 009
• Blocky headlights
• Flush door handles
• LiDAR sensor on the roof

Interior

While the automaker remains tight-lipped on the upcoming ultra-luxury SUV interior, the teaser video does drop a hint. The clip offered us a glimpse of the vehicle’s steering wheel, which appears more or similar to the existing Zeekr models.

Given its “world-class ultra-luxury flagship SUV status”, the SUV is expected to come with a premium cabin offering high-end comfort, spaciousness, and cutting-edge technology to occupants.

Drivetrain

As per CarNewsChina reports, the 9X Grand will not be a pure EV but rather a hybrid offering. The presence of a fuel door on the rear left pillar also confirms that it will be a fully battery-powered vehicle.

The Zeekr 9X Grand will be powered by a Super Hybrid system, which integrates plug-in hybrid, pure electric, and range extender technologies.

Safety

The model is likely to feature Nvidia's Drive Thor autonomous driving chip, offering advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving capabilities for an intuitive driving experience.
