Mitsubishi Outlander 2016 – Will it overshadow the outgoing model?

Kuala Lumpur: The arrival of the all-new Mitsubishi Outlander is just around the corner and with the launch date approaching, the Japanese brand is making both the ends meet to make it a successful event, after all, this is one of the most awaited and important launches by Mitsubishi for Malay customers. So, whether you are a prospective customer or someone who has recently become a proud owner of the Mitsubishi Outlander 2015 model, you must be thinking what's new and all about this model which is turning people into crazy heads. Guess, we have an answer. It's not just a couple of tweaks here and there but a lot more which can make the new model a priced possession for any customer.  The company has claimed that a total of 100 changes have been given to the new one than the outgoing model, does it worth it? Let's check out this new model and figure out what all Mitsubishi is giving which was missed out in the outgoing model -

Cosmetic changes over the chunk

Outlander exterior

Throw a look at this new model, you will need no explanation why it's creating a craze wave! Though the exterior has not been revamped entirely and only a few changes at this or that corner with almost same features are given, this drive appears to be different and more appealing. Seems like the new bodywork is working for this car. The absolutely new front with twin chrome plated blades are now wider and the lower grille has been expanded allowing more airflow. The new LED headlamps merged into the grille make it more robust. More chrome in contrast with jet black at this front, surely the designers of Mitsubishi Outlander 2016 were clear to deliver a strong stance and enhance the style statement of the owners. The lifted rear and all-new wheels in this package complement this structural look  a new look.

What's new in the cabin?

Outlander interior

Customers who are over excited with the new features and revised exterior might feel a little disappointed while sliding into the cabin of new Mitsubishi Outlander 2016. The cockpit of new Outlander has not got any major changes than the outgoing version and holds the same features. Just to give a different feel, the manufacturer has given a upgradation in the infotainment unit, that's it!

Power-fetchers

Outlander engine

If you are an auto enthusiast, you dare not skip this section. The new Mitsubishi Outlander 2016 has nothing new, but if you talk about what actually it hold, it has got enough to give you goosebumps. The same power units as that of Mitsubishi Outlander 2015 placed under the chunk of the new model are worth 2.4-litre and 3.0-litre capacities. Both the engines are efficient when it comes to knocking out power, efficiency and acceleration numbers. Laid with both the options – front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, the new Outlander 2016 is surely your drive if you love off-roading.

Safety first?

Outlander Safety

Carrying a unique 'Dynamic Shield' which enhances the protection level offered by Mitsubishi to the occupants, the latest Outlander SUV surely is among the safest drives in its class. Other features remain almost the same comprising as many as 7 airbags, Traction Control, Lane Departure Warning and Hill Start Assist. The signature RISE body construction is definitely not missed in this drive as well to raise the safety level one step up.

Conclusion

Though, we are not yet done detailing about the upcoming new Outlander SUV but, briefly, everything which should be known by a prospective customer is covered. The crux is that the latest Outlander may not sound much revised than the Mitsubishi Outlander 2015 but we would pat the back of the manufacturer for giving it much needed revisions and not overloading it with unnecessary aspects.
