2019 Nissan Teana facelift launched in Thailand
KUALA LUMPUR: It has not been too long since Toyota brought the facelifted Camry to Thailand. Following the suit, Nissan has joined the proceedings with the launch of the facelifted 2019 Teana. It is a well-known trend that the interest of the customer is shifting more towards SUVs and crossovers. However, manufacturers are still bringing out new and updated sedans to the market, which is very heartening, to say the least.
Antoine Barthes, Nissan Thailand president quoted, “At Nissan, we continue to put our customers at the heart of everything we do. I believe the new Teana, with its enhanced design and sophisticated features and Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies, will meet the needs and expectations of even our most sophisticated customers”.
The all-new 2019 Nissan Teana comes packed with the Japanese automaker’s Intelligent Mobility suite. Which, as a result, will aid in a safer and a much comfortable riding experience for the customers.
At the front, there is a V-Motion grille sitting between the two large yet beautiful headlights. The sedan now looks much aggressive and beefy thanks to the redesigned bumper boasting the foglights in new housings. The 2019 Nissan Teana now rides on new two-tone alloys.
Inside the saloon is an all leather upholstery. A 3D TFT multi-info display, dual automatic climate control, auto-dimming rearview mirror, engine start/stop button, rear power sunshade, and smart entry/exit are standard across the Teana variants. However, features like a 7-inch touchscreen display equipped with AM/FM radio, USB, Aux, Bluetooth, and navigation are exclusive to the higher end models.
The centre of attraction on the 2019 Nissan Teana is the Intelligent Mobility suite. The package includes features like blind spot warning, lane departure warning, 360-degree around-view monitor, and moving object detection. Multiple airbags, reverse camera, front and rear parking sensors, hill-start assist, and traction control are also present.
The 2019 Nissan Teana comes with two engine options, the first is a 2.5-litre QR25DE inline 4-cylinder that produces 173 PS of max power at 6000 rpm and 234 Nm of peak torque at 4000 rpm. The second engine, which is a 2.0-litre MR20DE four-pot capable of pumping out 136 PS of max power at 5600 rpm and 190 Nm of peak torque at 4400 rpm. The power is delivered to the front wheels by a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
