KUALA LUMPUR: 2025 was a remarkable year for GWM Malaysia, marked by strong commercial performance, growing consumer trust, and the proven appeal of its hybrid portfolio. The automaker achieved an impressive 177% year-over-year growth, maintaining a strong position in Malaysia’s growing hybrid segment, ranking third with a 15.5% market share.

The Haval H6 HEV has contributed significantly to GWM Malaysia’s sustained sales momentum in 2025. The hybrid SUV ranked second among hybrid vehicles in Malaysia, taking up 14.9% of the market share in 2025.

Building on this momentum, the automaker is gearing up to introduce its next-generation hybrid architecture, the Hi4. Signalling a future-ready approach, the Hi4 is a unified hybrid ecosystem that integrates intelligent energy management, efficiency, and performance.
Beyond the Haval H6 HEV, the automaker maintained a diversified portfolio in 2025, meeting the diverse needs of Malaysian buyers.

It is ready to launch the WEY G9, the Intelligent Luxury MPV, later this month. The upcoming G9 represents the brand’s evolving capabilities in design, comfort, and advanced technology.
The Wey G9 will be offered as a locally assembled model in Malaysia. Great Wall Motor Malaysia rolled out its first locally assembled unit last month at the EP Manufacturing Bhd plant in Melaka. It will come equipped with the brand’s advanced Hybrid Intelligent 4WD (Hi4) system.

A look at GWM’s global performance
Globally, the automaker sold a total of 1,323,672 vehicles in 2025, representing 7.33% year-on-year growth. The overseas deliveries reached 506,066 units, up by 11.68% compared to 2024. In the month of December, 124,020 units were sold, including 57,418 units overseas, a 39.05% year-on-year growth for the month.
Driving this impressive growth are NEVs (New energy vehicles), with a total sales of 403,653 units, up 25.44%, which highlights the automaker’s leadership in hybrid and electrified mobility.
The performance is supported by its global base of over 16 million users, 1,400 outlets overseas and 2 million cumulative overseas sales.
