Honda HR-V gets the Modulo X sporty treatment in Japan

KUALA LUMPUR: The Honda Vezel, which we know as the HR-V, has recently appeared in the Modulo X sporty avatar at the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon. This kitted-up concept version of the new third-generation HR-V gets exterior and interior styling upgrades along with some suspension tweaks. Let’s know them in detail.

The sharpened SUV is decked up in Premium Crystal Red Metallic exterior shade. On the front fascia, we can see a “beak-like” grille and an X-motif bumper. The former gets a prominent intake and is extended horizontally as well as vertically. 

The horizontal expansion connects the grille with the bottom of headlamp clusters while the vertical expansion merges it with the black parts of the redesigned bumper. As per the automaker, the restyled bumper not only enhances the sporty appeal of the SUV but also offers aerodynamic gains which contribute to improved driving performance.

At the rear, the spruced-up HR-V features a redesigned bumper and black finishing on the boot lid spoiler. Also part of the HR-V e:HEV Modulo X Concept is different 18-inch alloy wheels with fender arch protectors and chrome garnishing, black side mirror caps, and black badges.

Inside, the model gains exclusive red stitching on the leather-wrapped steering wheel and a new shift boot. The Modulo X badges are also positioned on front seats and push start button. 

Honda did not reveal about the retuned suspension, but we can expect a better response during cornering as compared to the standard model along with a high-quality and supple ride.

Well, it is just a concept as of now, we hope Honda will put it into production sometime this year.
