Leapmotor records impressive sales numbers in July; sees 126% y-o-y growth

KUALA LUMPUR: Leapmotor is having a standout year! Month after month, the Chinese automaker is solidifying its reputation as a top-tier innovator and disruptor in the new energy vehicle market in China.

In the month of July, Leapmotor sold a total of 50,129 vehicles (domestic and export), marking a year-over-year growth of 126%. Compared to June 2025, the brand witnessed a growth of 4.42%.

Crossed 50k sales mark for the first time 

Notably, July 2025 was the best month ever for the company as it crossed the 50,000 unit threshold for the first time. The growing numbers highlight the strong demand for the brand’s vehicles across the globe and its effective supply chain management. The Leapmotor EVs are critically acclaimed for their cutting-edge design and intelligent systems.

Leapmotor is #1 NEV start-up in China

Redefine the future of mobility in China, Leapmotor remains the #1 NEV start-ups for July 2025, outpacing established competitors and affirming its leadership in the NEV and affordable vehicle segment.

So far this year, the company has sold a total of 271,793 units and appears to be on track to double its 2024 sales volume of 293,724 vehicles.

Leapmotor cars in Malaysia

Stellantis-owned Leapmotor made its official debut in Malaysia last year. The brand offers a striking electric SUV, the C10, in the local market that stands out with its future-forward design, spacious cabin, Maserati-tuned driving dynamics, luxurious driving experience, and advanced safety systems.

Priced at RM 125,000, the Malaysia-spec C10 is powered by a rear-drive electric motor setup that generates maximum power of 218 PS and a peak torque of 320 Nm. Feeding the motor is a 69.9 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery pack, which provides a cruising range of 424 km on a single charge. 

Ensuring peace of mind is a 6-year or 150,000 km warranty (4-year manufacturer warranty plus an additional 2-year extended warranty), and an 8-year or 160,000 km battery warranty.
