Lexus launches the limited edition LC Hokkaido for 2022

KUALA LUMPUR: Lexus has introduced a new, limited edition version of its LC sports car, known as the ‘Hokkaido Edition’.

The Lexus LC Hokkaido will be exclusively available in Europe with just 80 examples up for grabs. Out of the total units, 40 are coupe and the remaining 40 are offered in convertible body style.

Lexus's latest special edition model takes its name and inspiration from the Hokkaido island in Japan. And it showcases several differentiating elements that help it stand out from the regular version of the brand's flagship sports car. For instance, it gets LED headlights, afterburner-style tail lamps, unique 21-inch alloys, and lastly an exclusive black signature front grille.

Offered in four exciting colour tones, Flare Red, Graphite, Sonic Platinum, and F White. The fabric roof on the convertible is offered in two tones, black and red.

On the inside, the Lexus LC Hokkaido edition showcases an eye-catching asymmetrical two-tone finish. The dark rose leather makes a power-packed impression and can be seen wrapped on the gear lever, door trim, and steering wheel. Rest all is covered in a more subtle black leather.

Powering the Lexus LC Hokkaido edition is the same 345 bhp 3.5-litre V6 hybrid mill with a CVT gearbox (Coupe only) as seen on the standard version. A more powerful 471 bhp 5.0-litre V8 option with an automatic transmission system is also available for both body styles.

The new Lexus limited edition model also benefits from all the software, suspension, and safety updates announced by the automaker for the 2022 LC.

The Lexus LC Hokkaido edition is scheduled to go on sale in Europe from April 2022.
