New BMW i5 world premiere today at 8 PM

KUALA LUMPUR: The all-new 2023 BMW 5 Series, including the BMW i5, is scheduled to make its global debut today, i.e. 24th May 2023, at 8 PM.

Interested individuals can watch the premier live on the automaker’s official website, bmwgroup.com. Also, the event will be broadcasted live on the BMW Group and BMW brand's social media channels, including Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

What do we know about the soon-to-debut 2023 BMW 5 Series and BMW i5? Well, BMW has not revealed much information about the new car. However, we do know that the 5 Series will be offered in several powertrain options including - an internal combustion engine, mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric mills.

As for the all-new BMW i5, images of the car recently leaked online showing us the upcoming sedan’s front, side, and rear design language. What however stood out in the images was a raked windshield giving the car a fastback-like appearance.

The BMW i5 is also known to be offered in two variant options, including the M60 xDrive and eDrive40. Depending on the model, the EV would feature the brand’s Adaptive Suspension Professional Plus system which is powered by the 9th gen Vertical Dynamic Management system.
