KUALA LUMPUR: After introducing the e.MAS 7 last year, Proton has now launched its second electric vehicle, the e.MAS 5, in Singapore. VINCAR Group, the official distributor of Proton e.MAS vehicles in the island nation, offers the compact EV in a single Premium variant, priced at SGD 158,988 (RM 501,900).

Proton e.MAS 5 in Singapore
As mentioned above, the Proton e.MAS 5 is offered in a single Premium variant in the island nation. The model is powered by a rear-mounted electric motor generating a maximum power of 116 PS and a peak torque of 150 Nm. Feeding the motor is a 40.16-kWh LFP battery, which offers a cruising range of 325 km (on the WLTP cycle). The EV supports 6.6 kW AC and 71 kW DC charging; the latter can replenish 30 to 80% battery in just 21 minutes.
