Proton sold 13,566 units in Feb 2026; New S70 bags 5k bookings
KUALA LUMPUR: After achieving a 15-year monthly high in January, Proton witnessed a decline in sales in the second month of the year. The automaker sold a total of 13,566 units (across the entire group) in February 2026, representing a 31% drop from the 19,833 units sold in the previous month. However, as compared to February 2025, it recorded a year-on-year growth of 20.8%.

The automaker’s YTD market share number stands at 28.5%.

The latest version is equipped with the new i-GT turbocharged engine and is receiving positive feedback from fans. In less than a month, the upgraded sedan has bagged approximately 5,000 bookings at dealers nationwide, expected to further boost the brand’s sales and revive the segment.

“New products boost brand visibility amongst car buyers but to ensure they stay with us, Proton has invested in initiatives to improve the brand experience for our customers.
