Sports Line Black Bison Edition body kit for Toyota Hilux arrives at Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: One of the big-name tuners, Wald, has made the Sports Line Black Bison Edition body kit official for the Toyota Hilux. The said kit is based on the Tacoma-like facelift, which provides a more aggressive appearance to the vehicle.

The Toyota Hilux Wald Black Bison kit brings a new front bumper along with the Mercedes-AMG-style large air intakes. The truck’s width increases up to 55 mm due to the addition of the over-fenders. The skid plate gets a silver finish, while the LED lamps can be there as per the customer’s choice. Also, there is a bug shield and huge scoops on the bonnet.

Coming to the rear, the Toyota Hilux Wald kit features a tailgate spoiler and a bumper applique. The truck rides on the Jarret 12-spoke alloy wheels, while the size is up to the driver- either 20-inch or 22-inch.

However, the Toyota Hilux Wald kit does not make any changes in the mechanical department. It is powered by the same 2.8-litre 1GD-FTV engine, which can make a maximum power of 177 PS, while the peak torque is 450 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.

A local parts dealer, JR Parts Centre located in Bandar Sunway, has already brought the kit to Malaysia. The entire set is made up of the fiberglass that has tailgate spoiler, over-fender, front, and rear bumpers. This complete set carries a price tag of RM 15,600, while excluding the tailgate spoiler that costs RM 11,500. On the other hand, the front and rear bumpers are priced at RM 5,500.

The LED lights are priced at RM 1,200, while the front roof spoiler carries a price tag of RM 4,400. For the bonnet bug shield, one has to pay RM 2,600, while the bonnet scoops cost RM 4,000. The wheelsets have higher price tags. The 20-inch is priced RM 13,000, while the 22-inch set comes with a price tag of RM 17,800.
