According to Datuk Ravindran K., President of UMW Toyota Motor, these new additions reflect Toyota’s focus on delivering vehicles that are more than just transportation.
“The GR Supra Track Edition and GR Yaris Automatic Variant are engineered for those who demand control, crave adrenaline and live for the thrill behind the wheel. Each GR model goes beyond transportation; it evokes emotion and challenges boundaries,” he said.
“We believe true performance inspires confidence and unlocks new possibilities, empowering drivers to go further, faster, and with greater purpose. This is how we continue to Move Your World.”

GR Supra Track Edition: A more hardcore Supra
Already an icon with over 40 years of history behind it, the GR Supra now gets even more serious with the Track Edition. It’s not just about extra horsepower—Toyota has reworked the chassis, suspension, aerodynamics, and braking to deliver a sharper, more track-focused machine.
Under the bonnet, the familiar 3.0-litre inline-six turbo engine remains, pushing out 388 PS and 500 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic with paddle shifters. As for performance, it’ll do 0–100 km/h in 4.1 seconds (auto) and 4.3 seconds (manual).

To make sure the Supra can handle serious track sessions, the Adaptive Variable Suspension has been retuned for more grip, while the Electric Power Steering and Limited Slip Differential get special Track Edition calibrations for better high-speed stability. Braking is also beefed up with 374 mm front discs and 4-piston Brembo calipers.
There’s also a big focus on aero: expanded tyre spats, aero flaps, and a carbon fibre ducktail spoiler increase downforce. The front control arm is reinforced, there’s added negative camber for sharper turn-in, and stiffer bushings and stabiliser bars round out the package.

It rolls on lightweight 19-inch matte black forged alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres, helping reduce unsprung mass and sharpen handling.
Inside, the cabin keeps the sporty vibe going with black Alcantara and leather upholstery, GR-embroidered seats, red seatbelts, and a red-ringed shift knob (for the manual). The 12-speaker JBL HiFi system and a colour Head-Up Display complete the cockpit.

On the safety side, Toyota Supra Safety is standard, bringing Pre-Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning with Steering Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitor, and emergency braking assist.
The GR Supra Track Edition is priced from RM698,000.

GR Yaris Now Comes with an 8-Speed Auto
Launched in 2021, the GR Yaris quickly made a name for itself as a road-going rally car. Earlier this year, UMW Toyota introduced the facelifted manual version during the Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival finale — and now they’re back with a new automatic variant.
This isn’t just any auto. Developed with direct input from the Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team, the 8-speed GAZOO Racing Direct Automatic Transmission offers sharper, faster shifts that respond to driver inputs rather than just vehicle behaviour.

Under the hood, the GR Yaris still packs the world's most powerful 3-cylinder turbo engine, producing 300 PS and 400 Nm of torque. It rockets from 0–100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds. For the automatic version, Toyota has added a sub-radiator, intercooler spray, and a dual cooling system for the transmission fluid to handle Malaysia’s punishing heat.
The automatic variant also comes with Launch Control, optimising torque and traction for perfect getaways from a standstill — whether at a traffic light or a track day. With motorsport-style paddle shifters thrown in, this GR Yaris automatic offers rally thrills in an easier-to-drive package.

Safety isn’t forgotten either, with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 bundled in. It includes upgraded Pre-Collision systems, Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, and even an Expert Mode for drivers who want more control while keeping stability aids partially active.
The GR Yaris Automatic Variant is priced at RM325,600.
Both the GR Supra Track Edition and GR Yaris Automatic Variant come with a five-year, unlimited mileage warranty and full aftersales support through GR Garage outlets across Malaysia.

These locations also stock GR performance parts, merchandise, and offer specialist services for owners.
While both models cater to different types of enthusiasts, they share one goal — making performance driving more accessible. Whether you’re chasing lap times in a Supra or carving up backroads in a Yaris, Toyota’s latest GR offerings are about connecting drivers to the joy of performance, and in the process, building a community of like-minded enthusiasts.

This is especially true for the Automatic GR Yaris, as it opens up the market to those who wish to own a GR Yaris, but was deterred before due to the manual transmission. With both type of transmissions now available, the level of temptation for the GR Yaris has just gone up a notch.
