Toyota Malaysia updates Innova, Fortuner, and Hilux with new features and engine updates
KUALA LUMPUR: Toyota has brought in comprehensive updates for some of its most important models in the UV range, for the Malaysian market, including the Innova MPV, Fortuner SUV, and Hilux pickup. All these three models now come with a revised list of features and updated petrol engines suitable for Euro4 emission norms. Like before, while the Innova and Fortuner are offered with a 5 year/unlimited km warranty, the Hilux pickup is made available with a 5 year/150,000 km warranty. All these three utility vehicles from Toyota are available with flexible subscription and financing plans.

All the three variants of the Toyota Innova, namely 2.0 E, 2.0 G, and 2.0 X, now come with Euro-4 compliant 2.0-litre petrol engines. A Qi wireless charging pad for smartphones has also been added to all these variants. The newly revised price range of the Toyota Innova now starts at RM 115,553 on the road, with the sales to officially start from January 2022.
Toyota Fortuner
Apart from the already existing 2.7 SRZ petrol and 2.8 VRZ diesel variants, the lineup of Toyota Fortuner now also includes an entry-level diesel-powered 2.4 variant nationwide. Previously, the sales of Fortuner 2.4 was restricted only to East Malaysia. Additional features introduced in the 2.7 SRZ and 2.8 VRZ include a Qi wireless charging pad for smartphones and Type C charging ports in place of USB ports. With a new entry-level 2.4 variant, the prices for the Toyota Fortuner in Malaysia start at RM 169,167.
Toyota Hilux
Apart from the Euro-4 upgrade to the 2.7-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, which now makes 166 bhp of maximum power and 245 Nm of maximum torque, there are no other mechanical changes to the Toyota Hilux pickup truck. The single-cab pickup truck from Toyota is available in a total of five different variants, with a revised starting price of the range of RM 92,880 on the road. In terms of features, the range-topping 2.4 V and 2.8 Rogue variants of the Toyota Hilux now get a better dual-zone automatic climate control in place of a single-zone system.
