Zeekr 7X Malaysian launch set for August 22 – Full details revealed

KUALA LUMPUR: Geely’s premium sub-brand Zeekr is set to expand its lineup in Malaysia with the launch of its third EV, the Zeekr 7X. As per the brand’s official social media channels, the electric SUV will be launched at Kuala Lumpur Tower on August 22, 2025.

Alongside announcing the Zeekr 7X launch date, the company has also revealed the full specifications of the EV, offering prospective buyers a clear picture of its features and performance before it enters the market.

Pricing 

Zeekr Malaysia will offer the 7X in three variants - RWD Standard, RWD Long Range, and AWD Performance. The indicative prices for the first 500 bookings are as follows:

Dimensions 

The Zeekr 7X measures 4,787 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, 1,650 mm in height, and spans a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. These dimensions put it in direct competition with the BYD Sealion 7 and the Tesla Model Y.

Drivetrain and range

Built on an 800-volt electrical architecture, the Malaysia-spec Zeek 7X will be offered in different powertrain configurations. As the name suggests, the RWD trims are powered by a rear-mounted electric motor generating a maximum power of 421 PS and a peak torque of 440 Nm. The AWD variant is equipped with a dual-motor setup good for making 646 PS and 710 Nm.

As for the battery pack, the base-space RWD Standard houses a 75 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) unit offering a driving range of 480 km (on the WLTP cycle). The RWD Long Range and AWD Performance trims, on the other hand, feature a bigger 100 kWh nickel cobalt manganese (NCM) pack with a cruising range of 615 km.

Design 

Underpinning the brand’s "Hidden Energy" design philosophy, the upcoming Zeekr EV looks sleek and futuristic with a luxury SUV silhouette, a clamshell hood, and a floating roof. The EV has a black-themed interior as standard with a double-layer dashboard layout, elegant soft-wrapping materials, and a luxury console design.
