Book the all-new Lexus ES 250 for RM 300k

KUALA LUMPUR: It was last year at the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 2018 when Lexus Malaysia introduced the all-new ES 250. The Lexus sedan is available in two trim options - Premium and Luxury. With the former priced at RM 299,888 and the later setting you back by RM 332,888.

The all-new Lexus ES puts forward a striking pose in metal and looks very much like a smaller version of the LS. While the exterior design is more dynamic and emotional, the cabin, according to the company, is more spacious with class-leading legroom and refined when compared to its previous model. All this is possible due to the Global Architecture-K (GA-K) platform that’s longer and wider. It is actually Lexus’ version of the Toyota New Global Architecture platform.

The Lexus ES 250 is powered by a 2.5-litre Dynamic Force direct-injected 4-cylinder petrol mill that makes 204 hp of maximum power at 6,600 rpm along with a peak torque of 245 Nm at 4,000 to 5,000 rpm. The engine here is paired to an 8-speed Direct Shift automatic gearbox that transmits power to the front axle.

The Lexus Safety System+ (LSS+) that was first seem accompanying the 2019 NX 300 specs sheet comes as a standard fitment here as well. Following are safety gears included under LSS+ -

• Lane Tracing Assist (LTA)
• Lane Departure Alert (LDA)
• Pre-Collision System (PCS)
• Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) with Stop and Go function
• Three bi-beam LED headlights with Adaptive High Beam System (AHS) (limited to Luxury trim)

The range-topping Lexus ES 250 variant gets three-zone climate control, a panoramic view monitor, 10-way powered front seat, 12.3-inch centre screen, powered reclining rear seats, and a head-up display.

The Lexus sedan’s color card shows seven exterior and two interior schemes.

The new Lexus ES is currently available as CUB units imported from Japan. Also, customers will benefit from a five-year unlimited mileage warranty.
