Craze for Proton X70 on Shopee

KUALA LUMPUR: Proton X70 becomes a hit on Shopee just after a year of its launch in Malaysia. Over 200 units of the car were booked online in just a few days of the platform’s special sale pointing to the huge demand and popularity of the product.

With the ever-increasing preference among shoppers to buy everything online, Proton has expanded its horizon by availing the e-route to stay relevant. Thus, Proton tied up with Shoppe, and the results have been amazing.

Proton plans to increase its 3S and 4S outlets to reach more customers and use technology to drive its business. It is not the first time that Proton is using the internet to reach out. Prior to its launch last year, the model could be booked online from September itself thereby, pushing pre-launch order booking past 10000 units mark.

A similar tie-up was also launched for its other models this year with improved online security and transactions, the resultant campaign was a prime preference among buyers. Proton aims to expand its reach in the near future and also plans to facilitate the entire financing procedure online.

The automaker doesn’t simply want to miss out on the booming e-market and anticipates the possible fluctuations of the e-commerce industry to explore the current online landscape. Proton plans to go online for the booking of its other models such as Proton Exora, Proton Iriz etc. after tasting success with X70 and utilise the altering behaviour among consumers to suit their purchasing experiences on the same platform.

Customers can book for just RM 99 instead of the usual RM 1000 booking fee and also there is a chance to get RM 2000 Shoppe vouchers for the first 50 successful registrations before 31st December 2019.
