Honda Malaysia introduces two new colour tones to CR-V lineup

KUALA LUMPUR: Honda Malaysia is taking steps to update and revise its lineup to keep the buyers always interested and engaged. One of the many ways of doing this is adding new and striking tones to the list. The recent Honda model to benefit from new hues is the CR-V.

The Honda CR-V is now offered in Ignite Red Metallic and Meteriod Grey Metallic options which replaces the old Passion Red Pearl and Modern Steel Metallic colours.

Previously, Honda Malaysia introduced these stunning tones on its other popular models like the BR-V, City, City Hatchback, HR-V, Accord and BR-V. On choosing these particular tones Honda Malaysia Managing Director & CEO, Hironobu Yashimura said, “Both colours were the popular options in these models; the Ignite Red Metallic colour contributed an average of 18% to the sales of each of the five models, while the Meteoroid Grey Metallic colour contributed an average of 24% to the sales of each of the six models.”

A bit about the Malaysian-spec Honda CR-V -

Honda Malaysia introduced the facelifted CR-V in November 2020 and is going strong since its arrival. For perspective, the C-segment SUV contributed 12 percent o the automaker’s sales in H1 2022.

The local-spec model is offered in three variant options. The base model is powered by a naturally-aspirated 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder engine generating maximum power of 154 hp along with a peak torque of 189 Nm. The mid-spec and range-topping variants, on the other hand, get a 193hp/243 Nm churning 1.5-litre turbo unit.

Also part of the model line-up is a unique Black Edition model which is powered by the same 1.5-litre powertrain. What makes it different is the blacked-out trims on the front grille, front & rear bumper garnish, and 18-inch alloys. The car’s body is covered in a Crystal Black Pearl hue.
