Honda Malaysia’s 2025 highlights: Total sales, best-selling models, “Because of You” campaign winners and more

KUALA LUMPUR: Honda Malaysia has revealed its annual sales report for 2025. During the year, the Japanese automaker sold a total of 72,301 units, capturing an 8.8% share of the local automotive market. With that sales mark, Honda continues to be the No.1 Non-National Passenger Vehicle (excluding pickup trucks and vans) in Malaysia for the 12th consecutive year.

    Honda Malaysia’s top-selling models in 2025

    • The Honda HR-V remained the brand’s best-selling model in 2025, accounting for 25% of total sales.
    • It was followed by the Honda City at 24% and the CR-V at 15%. 
    • The hybrid variants of the Honda HR-V and the Honda CR-V also performed well during the year, contributing 30% to the company’s total hybrid sales.

    • Honda entered the Malaysian EV race last year, with the launch of the e:N1. Built on Honda’s e:N Architecture F platform, the EV blends the HR-V's familiarity with dedicated EV performance and innovative features. It is offered in a single CBU variant, priced at RM 149,900.
    • The Honda HR-V received a subtle upgrade in 2025, adding new features, mild styling tweaks, and new colour options to the package. The new HR-V price ranges from RM 115,900 to RM 143,900.
    • Honda Malaysia also introduced a special-edition version of the CR-V in 2025, dubbed as the CR-V Dual-Tone Edition, available in a limited quantity of 300 units.

    Honda Malaysia celebrated its 25th anniversary in October 2025, with the “Because of You” campaign, offering the biggest rewards and lucky draw prizes in its history, worth up to RM 1 million, including six units of Honda models. The final winners of the contest are -

    • Avis Ou Xiao Qian, from Sarawak, who won the all-new Honda WR-V RS after purchasing the Honda CR-V
    • Zulkeffli bin Abdul Rahman, from Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, won the Honda Civic RS after purchasing the Honda HR-V 1.5T V
    • Mohamad Farees Rahimi bin Abd Kadir, from Johor, won the Honda CR-V e:HEV RS after purchasing the Honda City Hatchback RS
    • Cheah Wei Kong, from Selangor, who won the Honda City RS after purchasing the Honda e:N1 EV
    • Muhammad Syabilbin Muzafar, from Perak, who won the Honda HR-V (V variant) after purchasing the Honda Civic 1.5L V

    Honda Malaysia’s upcoming launches in 2026

    Honda Malaysia teased the Prelude in its 25th anniversary celebration video, suggesting that the two-door coupe may debut in the country soon.
