The updated lineup now sees price increases across the board. The base S variant, previously RM114,800, is now RM115,900 (+RM1,100). The Turbo E is up by RM1,100 to RM130,900, while the Turbo V has gone from RM134,800 to RM137,900 (+RM3,100). As for the range-topping e:HEV RS hybrid, it now costs RM143,900 — RM3,100 more than before.

Unveiled by Honda Malaysia’s Managing Director and CEO Narushi Yazaki, the facelifted HR-V comes with design tweaks, new features, and expanded tech offerings across all trims. “With over 170,000 units sold since 2015 and the highest market share in its class, the HR-V has redefined the compact SUV,” said Yazaki at the launch.

He added that the launch also coincides with Honda’s 21-year hybrid journey in Malaysia, highlighting the company’s continued push towards electrified mobility. “We are confident the New HR-V has always been and will be an incomparable companion… this is what we mean by The Power of Dreams and How We Move You.”

    Exterior updates

Visually, the changes are subtle but effective. All variants now come standard with 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, while the front gets a refreshed grille design that flows into full LED headlights with Active Cornering Lights (depending on variant). A rear LED light bar adds to its modernised look.

The e:HEV RS variant stands out further with its sporty RS bodykit and exclusive design elements.

    Interior and tech upgrades

Inside, the cabin gets functional and aesthetic improvements. The RS gets sportier upholstery with RS-embossed seats, while the centre console has been redesigned to accommodate a wireless phone charger (available on higher variants).

A new floating-style 8-inch infotainment screen improves ergonomics and visibility.

All variants now support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with USB-C ports for front and rear passengers. The Air Diffusion System — previously seen in newer Hondas — is now also part of the package for improved cabin airflow.

Despite its compact footprint, Honda continues to highlight the HR-V’s surprisingly generous cabin space, maintaining one of the roomiest cabins in its class.

    Powertrain options unchanged

Under the hood, the HR-V retains its three-engine lineup:

    • 1.5L VTEC Turbo (E and V) – 181 PS, 240 Nm

    • 1.5L e:HEV (RS) – 131 PS, 253 Nm (electric motor torque)

Each variant offers three selectable drive modes — ECON, Normal, and Sport — for drivers to tailor the experience based on preference or driving conditions.
