KUALA LUMPUR: Tesla has recently made its official entry to Malaysia with the launch of the Model Y electric SUV. In conjunction with that, the EV maker is taking further steps to enhance customers’ ownership experience via the Tesla Home Charging Program.

The Tesla Home Charging Program offers one Tesla Wall Connector (worth RM 2,880) for free to the customers who place their orders for the Tesla Model Y on the brand’s official website. The Tesla Wall Connector is nothing but an AC charger that comes with a Type 2 connector and 7.3 metre cable and is also equipped with WiFi support for remote monitoring and firmware updates.

Designed for effortless installation for different residential settings, the Tesla Wall Connector provides seamless charging around the clock. One can effortlessly plug in their vehicle to recharge the EV overnight. It juices up the battery fully, offering up to 71 km of range per hour (with a 3-phase supply).

To grab the complimentary Tesla Wall Connector, certain conditions must be met viz., the EV must be bought from Tesla Malaysia and the free wall connector should be set up at the specified location mentioned in the vehicle order form by the Tesla Approved Installer. Also, customers need to verify that the designated location is suitable for wall connector installation. The installation must be completed either before or within three months of vehicle delivery.

Tesla provides a 12-month warranty on the Tesla Wall Connectors obtained under this promotional program that ends on October 31, 2023.
