KEY TAKEAWAYS
What is Proton e.MAS’s new mobility platform?
It is Malaysia’s first localised connected mobility platform, specifically developed for local EV users. It focuses on hosting vehicle data locally, vehicle connectivity services, smart digital features, integration with local charging networks, and features tailored to local driving conditions and users. Why is it important for Malaysia?
It supports the growth of Malaysia’s EV ecosystem and contributes to the government's aspiration to accelerate EV adoption and strengthen the country’s mobility ecosystem.Aligned with the government's National Automotive Policy 2020, National Energy Transition Roadmap, and automotive localisation agenda, this initiative includes the localisation of digital infrastructure, connected mobility services, and the charging platform.
The company is expanding its localisation efforts beyond vehicle manufacturing to offer a more seamless, practical, and accessible EV ownership experience.
