Toyota GR 86 gets new Rocket Bunny kit
KUALA LUMPUR: Now that Toyota has revealed the all-new GR 86, it's obvious that aftermarket tuners will splurge the car with body kits. Out of all, the TRA Kyoto kit seems to be the most attractive one, a treatment we think every car deserves.
What you see above is the work of Japanese aftermarket tuner Tops Racing Arts Kyoto (commonly known as TRA Kyoto) and Kei Miura (its founder). It is called the new Pandem Rocket Bunny widebody kit.
What does the Rocket Bunny kit for the GR 86 include?
- Wide-body aesthetic
- Massive flared wheel arches with exposed bolts for both front and rear axles
- Lowered suspensions
- Big cambered wheels
- 'Supporting' struts for the front splitters
- Additional elements extending from the fenders into the side skirts
- New fixed wing at the rear sitting on top of the existing ducktail spoiler
Along with all this, the Pandem Rocket Bunny widebody kit includes heavily revised front and rear bumpers. Also, in place of the grille is a large cutout that serves as the intake for the GR 86's intercoolers. The regular air intake box is relegated to a box-style slit in front of the bonnet.
At the rear we see a new diffuser slat extending all the way from the fenders, underlying the car's exhaust tips and a wraparound rear wing.
Though no interior images are provided, a peek reveals a stripped cabin and a roll cage.
So, what are your thoughts on this particular GR 86 body kit? Let us know in the comments.
