Volkswagen Tayron R-Line launched in Malaysia at RM 238,574

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia has launched the top variant of the 7-seater Tayron, the R-Line, in the local market, which joins the Elegance trim introduced last month. The performance-driven R-Line offers sportier driving dynamics and a stronger road presence to Malaysian buyers who look beyond everyday practicality.

The Volkswagen Tayron R-Line is priced at RM 238,574 (on-the-road without insurance), with a two-year/unlimited-mileage standard warranty and five years of roadside assistance. However, if you choose the optional Volkswagen Assurance Package, which extends the warranty to five years and adds a five-year/75,000-km maintenance package, the price will increase to RM 250,074.

Volkswagen Tayron R-Line: Key highlights 

• With sportier design cues and a more commanding road presence, the SUV features 'R-Line' exterior styling (Front Bumper, Radiator Grille & Rear Bumper) and IQ.LIGHT HD Matrix Headlights with Advanced High-Beam Control and Dynamic Turn Signals.
• It rides on 20-inch York Black alloy wheels wrapped with 255/40 R20 tyres and incorporates front & rear illuminated Volkswagen logos and 3D LED tail lights.

• At the core lies a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged engine, generating a maximum power of 265 PS and a peak torque of 400 Nm.
• Power is sent to the wheels via a seven-speed DSG transmission and a 4MOTION AWD setup, enabling the SUV to hit the century sprint in 6.1 seconds.
• The R-Line comes equipped with Volkswagen Dynamic Chassis Control Pro, which automatically adapts the suspension to changing road conditions for an ideal balance of comfort, stability and driving confidence. 

• Inside, you will get a comprehensive list of advanced technology features, including a 15-inch Discover Pro Max infotainment unit, a head-up display, 10.25-inch Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Pro, IDA Voice Assistant, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, dual wireless charging pads, sports pedals, 10-speaker Harman Kardon Premium Sound System, 3-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable seats, auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror, 'Varenna' leather upholstery, 30-colour ambient lighting, 9 airbags and Volkswagen IQ.Drive ADAS pack:
