2018 Perodua Alza revealed

KUALA LUMPUR: Following the images and brochure leak, the 2018 Alza has finally seen the light. The 2018 Perodua Alza was revealed at the company's Merdeka greeting. Though the updated version of Alza was not expected, the leaked brochure of its 2018 version hinted towards the soon launch of the 7-seater MPV. There is no change in the number of variants of the MPV and it is available in Standard (MT), Standard (AT), SE (AT), and Advance (AT) trims.

Under the hood configuration of all the variants is same. The new Perodua MPV is powered by a 1.5-litre 2SZ-VE DVVT engine which delivers 102 hp of maximum power and a peak torque of 136 Nm. It is further coupled to either a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. The exterior changes include a redesigned front bumper with a larger lower intake. It also highlights the repositioned fog lamps accompanied by front parking sensors. Even the front grille is replaced by a twin-bar unit along with new two-tone side skirts. The rear profile gets a new bumper with slimmer fins for the diffuser. The tail lights also get a sense of refreshment with tweaked garnish.

Another major change in the exterior profile is the introduction of the 15-inch alloy wheels in the SE and Advance variants. The 7-seater MPV from Perodua is now offered in Granite Grey color scheme limited to SE and Advance variants, raising the count of available color options to 5.

The interior changes are more focused towards the mechanics over appeal. According to Perodua, the air flow has been improved in the third row. You now get a new audio system with USB and Bluetooth in the Standard and SE variants. The SE and Advance 2018 Alza variants have been also bestowed with new-design leather seats. Whereas, the exclusive features of Advance variant include a roof-mounted monitor and an Android-based touch-screen infotainment system. The system is also backed by functionalities like Smart Link, Bluetooth, reverse camera, and navigation.

The 2018 Perodua Alza price starts from RM 51,490 for the Standard (MT) version while the Standard (AT) can be grabbed for RM 54,290. The Alza SE (AT) and Alza Advance (AT) price tag reads RM 56,890 and RM 62,690 respectively. Perodua is offering a five-year/150,000 km warranty on 2018 Alza, whichever comes first.
