2020 Honda CR-V facelift bookings open
KUALA LUMPUR: While everyone is waiting for the all-new Honda City launch in the country, Honda Malaysia has surprisingly announced another facelift. Yes, we are talking about the revamped Honda CR-V; whose bookings are now opened at all 101 Honda dealerships nationwide.
Set for launch in Q4 2020, the new CR-V gets styling tweaks inside out, new comfort features, and advanced driver-assist systems.
The exterior design of the 5-seater SUV is now more refined showcasing a modernized and sophisticated characteristic. Upfront, the new black grille combined with Honda Signature is flanked by LED Headlights. For bolder appearance, it now comes with a restyled front bumper and new wing-style chrome fascia. At the back, the new smoky tail lights and dark chrome add more attractiveness to the look. Moreover, it gets new 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels that further elevate the aesthetics.

As mentioned above, the CR-V facelift gets advanced safety bits in the form of Honda Sensing suite providing comprehensive protection to the driver as well as passengers. It consists of the following features:
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
- Road Departure Mitigation (RDM)
- Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)
- Auto High-Beam (AHB)
- Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
- Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
- Low-Speed Follow (LSF)

In terms of equipment, the 2020 Honda CR-V gets a hands-free powered tailgate that can be operated with a foot motion under the bumper. Along with this, the automaker has also confirmed that the digital dashboard display (TFT), Honda LaneWatch blind-spot camera, and leather seats will now be available as standard across the range.
Powering the new CR-V is the same 1.5-litre VTEC Turbo four-pot engine, generating 193 PS of maximum power and 243 Nm of peak torque and mated to a continuous variable transmission. Although the inclusion of base 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated i-VTEC engine is not yet confirmed.

About the 2020 Honda CR-V price, no information is there, but a premium over the ongoing price of RM 144,629 is expected on account of added specs.
The CR-V holds 19% of the overall non-national SUV segment, which explains its popularity in the market. With the added bits, it is likely to be giving more tough competition to the contentions.
