2025 Xpeng G6 facelift bookings open in Malaysia; launching on Oct 1
KUALA LUMPUR: Launched in August 2024, the Xpeng G6 is ready for an upgrade in Malaysia. Bermaz Auto, the official distributor of Xpeng cars in Malaysia, has started accepting bookings for the new G6, set to launch on October 1, 2025.

New variant lineup
Photo from XpengThe new Xpeng G6 will be offered in three new variants: RWD Long Range Pro, AWD Performance, and AWD Black Edition, unlike the existing model, which comes in two versions - 580 Pro and 755 Pro.
Refreshed styling and feature kit
Along with the new variant lineup, the Chinese EV is expected to feature significant cosmetic updates and added features, as seen in Thailand and Indonesia, where it went on sale earlier this year. The upgrades include -

The automaker has also expanded the Xpeng G6’s global colour palette, adding two new shades- Starry Purple and Cloud Beige to the existing options of Crescent Silver, Star Grey, Nebula White, and Dark Night Black.

The new XPeng G6 is likely to get a new 800-volt architecture, with the RWD version now generating 296 hp (up from 255 hp) and 450 Nm of torque. The AWD trim, powered by a dual motor setup, has a combined output of 480 hp and 660 Nm. The EV takes 6.3 seconds to run from zero to 100 kmph and clocks a top speed of 202 kmph.
With the upgraded Xpeng G6, the automaker also offers a 5C “ultra-fast” charging AI battery, promising improved range and faster charging times. The Thai-spec model features an 80.8 kWh battery, offering a WLTP-claimed driving range of 525 km on the RWD version and 510 km on the AWD.
