Human-Machine Co-Pilot lands in Europe
One of the most notable additions in XOS 5.8.0 is the Human-Machine Co-Driving feature, making XPENG the first automaker in Europe to offer it as standard.
When Lane Centering Control (LCC) is engaged, the system no longer cuts off when the driver makes steering inputs. Instead, it works alongside the driver, resulting in smoother lane changes and more natural assistance. XPENG says LCC also performs better in tricky situations such as highway merges and exits, with reduced steering oscillation.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) has also been upgraded, now allowing higher cornering speeds and smoother deceleration for improved ride comfort.

Another highlight of the update is Pet Mode. Aimed at owners who occasionally leave pets in the car briefly, the system automatically closes the windows, locks the doors, and keeps the climate system running at a safe temperature.
The feature relies on AUTO Climate Control with external air circulation to avoid overheating or extreme cold. Owners get real-time alerts through the XPENG app and can switch the mode on or off remotely.
Entertainment and smart cabin upgrades
For passengers, the update introduces support for KaraFun, a karaoke app available for download through the in-car App Store.
Climate control has been adjusted for tropical markets, with the minimum air-conditioning temperature lowered to 16°C. Meanwhile, the dashcam function gains a new Emergency Recording mode.
The XCOMBO system also receives a boost: now supporting 21 languages and more than 700 customization options. Users can create or edit scenarios through the car’s display or mobile app, with presets available for safety, energy saving, entertainment, and comfort.

We will continue listening closely to our global community, ensuring that every evolution of XPENG technology remains driven by your needs and aspirations,” said Alex Tang, Head of International Development of Services.
XPENG added that availability of certain features will vary depending on vehicle model and local regulations.
