KUALA LUMPUR: After launching the EX90 and XC90 facelift in April this year, Volvo Car Malaysia has now rolled out the upgraded version of the XC60 in the country. The Volvo XC60 is a go-to SUV for those who value comfort, quality, and driving confidence, and the latest version takes this legacy further with striking cosmetic tweaks, a new suspension system, and the latest intuitive technology.

Exterior updates

It benefits from a new diagonal mesh front grille paired with signature ‘Thor Hammer’ LED headlights. Adding to the bolder appearance are darkened rear lamps and new wheel designs.

It now comes with an 11.2-inch unit, powered by Google built-in system, offering seamless access to navigation via Google Maps, voice commands through Google Assistant, and a range of familiar apps such as Spotify and Waze.
Complementing the new infotainment system is the Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system that promises a concert-level listening experience.
Drivetrain
The B5 mild hybrid variant is powered by the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a 48-volt mild hybrid system with an integrated starter generator (ISG) as the outgoing model. The total system output is rated at 263 PS at 6,000 rpm and 390 Nm of torque from 1,800 to 4,800 rpm. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Photo from VolvoThe top-spec T8 plug-in hybrid trim, on the other hand, also combines the same 2.0-litre turbo four-pot engine and a rear e-motor, generating a combined output of 462 PS and 709 Nm. It features an e-AWD layout with an 8-speed automatic transmission unit and 18.8 kWh battery, which previously showcased a capacity of 11.6 kWh, offering an electric-only range of 89 km.

The XC60 continues to deliver class-leading protection and peace of mind for every occupant. Alongside Volvo's renowned safety cage construction, it comes equipped with the latest safety technologies such as adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance and lane keeping assist.
