The automaker has also enhanced the SUV’s intuitiveness by updating the head unit. It now comes with an 11.2-inch unit, powered by Google built-in system, offering seamless access to navigation via Google Maps, voice commands through Google Assistant, and a range of familiar apps such as Spotify and Waze.

Complementing the new infotainment system is the Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system that promises a concert-level listening experience.

    Drivetrain

The B5 mild hybrid variant is powered by the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a 48-volt mild hybrid system with an integrated starter generator (ISG) as the outgoing model. The total system output is rated at 263 PS at 6,000 rpm and 390 Nm of torque from 1,800 to 4,800 rpm. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The top-spec T8 plug-in hybrid trim, on the other hand, also combines the same 2.0-litre turbo four-pot engine and a rear e-motor, generating a combined output of 462 PS and 709 Nm. It features an e-AWD layout with an 8-speed automatic transmission unit and 18.8 kWh battery, which previously showcased a capacity of 11.6 kWh, offering an electric-only range of 89 km.

    Safety

The XC60 continues to deliver class-leading protection and peace of mind for every occupant. Alongside Volvo's renowned safety cage construction, it comes equipped with the latest safety technologies such as adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance and lane keeping assist.
