All-new Toyota Yaris Cross to enter production soon in Indonesia

KUALA LUMPUR: The all-new 2023 Toyota Yaris Cross will soon make its debut in the Indonesian market. If reports are to be believed it would be different from the existing model available in Australia, Japan, Europe, and Singapore. Also, the unique, Indo-spec Yaris Cross is scheduled to enter the production phase by mid-2023.

So, probably by June 2023, the Yaris Cross will enter production in Indonesia wherein it will be replacing the existing Rush.

Powering the Indo-spec Yaris Cross will probably be a naturally-aspirated 1.5-liter 2NR VE engine which also fuels the all-new Vios and Avanza. The mill is rated to make maximum power between 102-105 PS with torque ranging between 136-140 Nm.

Further differentiating the ongoing Yaris Cross from the upcoming model is the new platform. The Indo-spec model would benefit from Daihatsu New Global Architecture as opposed to the existing Toyota New Global Architecture.

Also, as per market demand, the Indo-spec Toyota Yaris Cross might be a 7-seater model making it the perfect replacement for the Rush.
