Autech to bring a sportier X-Trail tune in January 2019

KUALA LUMPUR: Over the years, Autech has been known as the tuners for the sportier models from Nissan. The previous models that Autech worked on were the Silvia, Stagea and the Skyline. Moreover, the most highlighting fact about the specially tuned cars is that they had additional styling kits and were often more powerful than the standard.

However, Autech has now shifted its focus to a completely new breed of cars from Nissan. Wondering? The tuner has started working on more sedated models from the Japanese multinational automaker, the ones that are more practical for day-to-day use. The newest addition to the list is going to be the Nissan X-Trail.

The tuned model of the Nissan car will be known as the X-Trail Autech and will have a good number of upgrades. As for an example, the cabin now has leather upholstery all around. The black-coloured seats are given the company’s moniker “AUTECH” in blue. Moreover, this blue coloured addition is given on the steering wheel, centre console and the door trims too. Special Autech carpets for the front, rear, and the boot can be had as an option.

Aesthetically, the number of changes is high. At the front fascia, the bumper gets a new treatment with metallic additions that add a butch and aggressive appearance. The rear bumper is new too and now gets the twin-tip muffler. The X-Trail Autech rides on 19-inch aluminium wheels.

However, there has been no changes made on the mechanical side and the engine remains the same as the standard X-Trail. The Autech package will be available in all the trim levels (2WD, AWD and hybrid). Apart from that, the other features that are given on the standard Nissan X-Trail will be carried over.

This X-Trail Autech will be appearing for sale in the Japanese market right in the first month of 2019.
